Student Clubs

Debate Club

The Ilm Academy Debate Club is back this year, led by a passionate group of high school students dedicated to fostering insightful discussions on pressing issues. Debates are set to take place throughout November, with practices already underway. Our goal is to enhance public speaking and assertive communication skills, empowering students to articulate their thoughts confidently and effectively.

Journalism Club

In its second year now, the Young Author’s creative writing exercise is practiced by many schools as a means to foster inventive, imaginative, and innovative literary writing habits in children of all grade levels. Fully written and illustrated by children, the books are judged on quality of writing and presentation. Winning books are awarded at the award assembly.

Yearbook Club

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s yearbook, the Ilm Academy is excited to elevate our publication even further with the formation of the Yearbook Club. This dedicated team will design, create, and produce Yearbook 2025, bringing grander ideas to life. We look forward to collaborating on this masterpiece and showcasing the creativity and talents of our high school students, Insha Allah.

Crochet Club

The student-led Crochet Club has become a hub for creativity and mentorship, with older students taking the lead in teaching younger peers the basics of crochet. Through hands-on guidance and peer-led workshops, students not only share their skills but also help others develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The club fosters a supportive, collaborative environment where leadership and learning go hand in hand. This initiative highlights how student-led projects can build confidence, community, and lifelong skills.

Student Council

The Student Council plays a key role in planning, developing, and implementing a range of student-led projects that promote school spirit and inclusivity. Their initiatives, such as door decorating competitions and Eid events, celebrate diversity and encourage creativity and collaboration among students. By taking ownership of these activities, council members help foster a welcoming environment and a strong sense of community within the school. Their leadership continues to inspire peers and strengthen school pride through meaningful and engaging events.
